Make It Move Mega Bundle
Use these step-by-step tutorials to learn how to create 3D Printable objects that move. Each project can be used "just for fun" or for demonstrating important scientific concepts, such as air pressure, center of gravity, electrical circuits and heat transfer. This Mega Bundle includes complete tutorials to show you how to create:
a Marble Run (Level 1 - teach gravity, potential energy)
a Stomp Rocket (Level 1 - teach air pressure, center of gravity, drag)
a Desktop Fan (Level 2 - teach electrical circuits)
a Bobblehead (Levels 1 & 2 - teach center of gravity)
a Crazy Pendulum (Level 2 - teach pendulums, conservation of energy, chaotic motion)
a Pyramid (Level 1+ - teach convection heat transfer)

Supplies Needed:
To assemble the Desktop Fan you will need a battery holder for 2 AA batteries, 2 AA batteries, a hobby-sized DC motor, a rocker switch, electronic wire, and a fan (or print your own). You can buy all of these pieces as part of a DC motor kit, such as this one from Amazon.
To assemble the Bobblehead you will need a metal spring, such as those found here.
To assemble the Pendulum, you will need fidget spinner ball bearings (8 mm x 22 mm x 7 mm), such as those available here. You need 2 for a single-arm pendulum and 3 for the double-arm and creative pendulums. You also need a G-clamp to secure the pendulum to the table. You can 3D print one, such as the one here, or you can find one at your local hardware store.
To assemble the Pyramid, you will need a double-pointed knitting needle - Size 8 (5 mm diameter, 17.7 mm long), such as these here (also available at Wal-Mart or craft stores), an acorn nut - Size 5/16-18, such as these (also available at home improvement stores, and fan blades (Since 3D printed blades will melt from the heat of the candles, you can cut the blades from balsa wood, basswood or cardboard. A .pdf pattern is included, as well as files for a laser cutter or a Cricut maker.)
Formats: The downloadable .zip file will have each of the tutorials in the following formats:
Video: Follow along with the step-by-step video to create your own project. Play and pause as often as you need to. You can view the video on a computer, a tablet or your phone.
On Screen Tutorial: Scroll through the steps on your computer, tablet or phone. This .pdf file contains a picture and description for every step.
Printed Booklet: This .pdf file is designed to be printed double-sided on the short edge. Fold the stack of papers in half and staple along the fold to create a booklet that you can hold in your hand as you complete the steps on screen.
